Regular Season Round 18: Bambitious Nara - Fukuoka Rizing 66-75

B League D2 top team - Fukuoka Rizing (15-2) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Bambitious Nara (2-15) 75-66. Fukuoka Rizing shot 23 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Bambitious Nara only scored two points from the stripe. Bambitious Nara was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: Auburn) with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Junpei Honda (190-88) scored 16 points. Four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first position with 15-2 record, which they share with Akita NH. Bambitious Nara lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 15 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Kumamoto V. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bambitious Nara will play against the league's leader Toyotsu FE in Nagoya and hope to win that game.
