Regular Season Round 9: Capo d'Orlando - Isernia 91-65

Very predictable result when ninth ranked Capo d'Orlando (5-4) rolled over at home 15th ranked Isernia (1-8) 91-65 on Sunday. Capo d'Orlando dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Isernia's 26. Capo d'Orlando forced 21 Isernia turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. Isernia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Roberto Marinello (179-91) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 4 steals. Jacopo Pozzi (201-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Capo d'Orlando players scored in double figures. Guard Ferdinando Smorra (185-88) answered with 27 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Andrea Murolo (179-96) added 5 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Isernia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Capo d'Orlando moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Olginate. Loser Isernia keeps the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Capo d'Orlando will face Venafro (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Isernia will play against Salerno and hope to win that game.
