Regular Season Round 14: SeaHorses - Yokohama BC 90-72

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Yokohama BC (4-13) lost to first ranked Aishin Sea Horses (16-1) in Kariya 72-90 on Sunday. Aishin Sea Horses looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. The other American import forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-87, college: Connecticut) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and the former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Yokohama BC. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-1 record. Loser Yokohama BC dropped to the fourth place with 13 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face league's leader Toyota Alvark in Tokyo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yokohama BC will play at home against the league's leader Ryukyu GK and hope to win that game.
