There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Kleb Ferrara (4-4) edged on the road higher ranked Unieuro Forli (4-4) 87-85 on Sunday. They outrebounded Unieuro Forli 47-36 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-Irish forward Mike Hall (203-84, college: G.Washington, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 23 rebounds. Swingman Riccardo Cortese (195-86) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Israeli point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85) produced 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88, agency: Players Group) added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Kleb Ferrara and four Unieuro Forli players scored in double figures. Kleb Ferrara moved-up to seventh place in A2. Kleb Ferrara will face higher ranked Treviso Basket (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Unieuro Forli will play against Agribertocchi OR in Orzinuovi and hope to win that game.
