Regular Season Round 9: Rimini - Forli Tigers 66-58

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Rimini (4-5) beat at home 9th ranked Forli Tigers (4-5) 66-58 on Sunday. Forli Tigers were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Paolo Busetto (192-96) who led his team to a victory with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Guard Luca Toniato (187-98, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Guard Gianluca Carpanzano (188-95) answered with 20 points and guard Francesco Papa (198-95) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Forli Tigers. Forli Tigers' coach Giampaolo Di Lorenzo tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Rimini moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Forli Tigers. Forli Tigers lost third consecutive game. Rimini will face higher ranked Crema (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
