Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (11-6) won against 6th ranked Shimane Magic (4-13) in Tokyo 69-62 on Sunday. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Tomoya Hasegawa (185-89) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Sunrockers have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Toshiba BT. Shimane Magic lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with 13 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face Toshiba Thunders (#3) in Kanagawa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Shimane Magic will play at home against Hokkaido L. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
