There was no surprise when 6th ranked Porto S.Elpidio (5-4) lost on the road to leader San Severo (9-0) 74-64 on Sunday. It was a good game for the former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (205-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Emidio Di-Donato (198-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Five San Severo players scored in double figures. Guard Andrea Maggiotto (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Stefano Cernivani (185-91) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Porto S.Elpidio. San Severo maintains first place in B with 9-0 record, which they share with Cento. Loser Porto S.Elpidio dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. San Severo will face Ortona (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Porto S.Elpidio will play against Perugia (#14) and hope to win that game.
