The game in Jyvaskyla was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked HyPo (3-5) played at the court of eighth ranked JyWe (4-4). JyWe defeated HyPo 87-74. The game was mostly controlled by JyWe. HyPo was better in third quarter 27-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by guard Aleksi Kantonen (188-95) who scored that evening 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Tiitus Kuukkanen (188-0) supported him with 21 points. JyWe's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 26 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) by American guard DVon Campbell (185-92, college: Campbellsville) did not help to save the game for HyPo. Forward Ilkka Blomqvist (196-84) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. JyWe moved-up to sixth place in Division. HyPo at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. JyWe's next round opponent will be PuHu Juniorit (#12) in Vantaa where they are favorite.
