Important game to mention about took place in Milano. Fifth ranked Scandone AV (6-2) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 3rd placed Armani Milano (6-2) 94-92 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Armani Milano. Scandone AV brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for international point guard Ariel Filloy (189-87, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Jason Rich (191-86) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Lithuanian power forward Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 20 rebounds and American point guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor) scored 23 points. Four Scandone AV and five Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Armani Milano's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Scandone AV moved-up to third place, which they share with EA7 Armani and Fiat TO. Scandone AV will play against Openjobmetis VA (#9) in Varese in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Armani Milano will play on the road against Dolomiti En. TR (#11) in Trento and hopes to get back on the winning track.
