The biggest surprise of round 8 in Basketettan was guest KFUM Lidingo's (4-3) road victory over 6th ranked Jamtland II (3-4) 82-78 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Jamtland II. KFUM Lidingo dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Jamtland II's 30. They outrebounded Jamtland II 56-37 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Serigne-Modou Thioune (-88) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Babacar Wade (-81) chipped in 8 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Daniel Johansson (198-98) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Oliver Gehrke (200-0) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Jamtland II players scored in double figures. Jamtland II's coach Wiktor Buszka tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. KFUM Lidingo moved-up to sixth place. Jamtland II at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with KFUM Central. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
