Regular Season Round 7: Breakers - Bullets 90-82

Leader New Zealand Breakers delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Bullets (3-6) 90-82 in Auckland. New Zealand Breakers brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican-American point guard Edgar Sosa (190-88, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. American guard DJ Newbill (193-92, college: Penn St.) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. American swingman Perrin Buford (198-94, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: 3Eye) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Travis Trice (183-93, college: Michigan St.) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Bullets. Four New Zealand Breakers and five Bullets players scored in double figures. New Zealand Breakers (9-1) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place. Bullets at the other side keep the seventh position with six games lost. New Zealand Breakers will play against league's second-placed Perth Wildcats at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bullets will play against Adelaide 36ers (#4) in Findon and hope to get back on the winning track.
