Regular Season Round 7: Bnei Hertzeliya - Hapoel J-M 78-90

Date: November 19, 2017
The game in Hod Hasharon was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (6-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Bnei Hasharon (2-5). Hapoel Jerusalem defeated Bnei Hasharon 90-78. The guests were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 21-7 run, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Jerusalem dominated on the defensive end, holding Bnei Hasharon to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. International power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: N.Carolina St.) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) added 17 points in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. Defending champion maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Maccabi T-A. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be league's leader Maccabi T-A in Tel-Aviv and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bnei Hasharon will play at home against Galil Gilboa (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
