Regular Season Round 7: Glanmire - Liffey Celtics 60-66

The game between Top Four teams took place in Cork. 3rd placed host Glanmire (4-2) lost to leader Liffey Celtics (6-0) 66-60. It was a great shooting night for Liffey Celtics especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jazmen Boone (173, college: William & Mary) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Her fellow American import forward Devon Brookshire (188-94, college: St.Mary's, CA) accounted for 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Liffey Celtics players scored in double figures. The former international forward Grainne Dwyer (182-84) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and international forward Casey Grace (182-92, college: Fairfield) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Glanmire in the defeat. Glanmire's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Liffey Celtics have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record. Glanmire at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Killester. Liffey Celtics will play against 11890 Killester (#4) in Dublin in the next round. Glanmire's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Cork to the arena Brunell.
