Regular Season Round 9: Salerno - Patti 82-66

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Salerno (7-2) defeated at home 16th ranked Patti (1-8) 82-66 on Sunday. Salerno dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Patti's 28. They outrebounded Patti 41-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for power forward Paolo Paci (204-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Gianmarco Leggio (202-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Salerno players scored in double figures. Power forward Luigi Dispinseri (200-93) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Marco Legnini (198-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 17 points in the effort for Patti. Salerno moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Lecco. Loser Patti keeps the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Salerno will face Isernia (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Patti will play against Sestu and hope to win that game.
