The game in Nantes supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Flammes (6-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Nantes Reze (3-4). Flammes smashed Nantes Reze 87-65 on Sunday. Flammes looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 assists. Brazilian center Clarissa Dos-Santos (184-88, agency: ProDep Management) helped adding 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the losing side naturalized Serbian Lidija Turcinovic (184-94) responded with 29 points and Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Nantes Reze's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Flammes. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bourges. Loser Nantes Reze dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Hainaut and Lyon. Flammes will meet Basket Landes (#4) in the next round. Nantes Reze will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq and hope to secure a win.
