Very important is a home loss of third ranked Fiat TO (6-2) against seventh ranked MIA-RO Cantu (4-4) on Sunday night. Host Fiat TO was defeated by MIA-RO Cantu in a tough game in Torino 89-94. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Fiat TO. MIA-RO Cantu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Randy Culpepper (183-89, college: UTEP, agency: Inception Sports) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 6 assists. International forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Thomas Jefferson) accounted for 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American swingman Deron Washington (201-85, college: Virginia Tech) came up with 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and Slovenian Sasha Vujacic (201-84, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Fiat TO in the defeat. Five MIA-RO Cantu and four Fiat TO players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MIA-RO Cantu moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Banco di Srd. Loser Fiat TO keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with EA7 Armani and Scandone AV. MIA-RO Cantu will meet at home league's second-placed Umana Venezia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fiat TO will play against Vanoli Cremona and hope to secure a win.
