Regular Season Round 18: Kagawa FA - Iwate Big Bulls 74-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls' (2-15) road loss to fifth ranked Kagawa FA (7-10) 65-74 on Sunday. Kagawa FA outrebounded Iwate Big Bulls 34-22 including 20 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) scored 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) chipped in 6 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Jalen McGaughy (208, college: Dillard) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import center Michael Buchanan (213-94, college: USC Upstate) scored 8 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kagawa FA moved-up to third place, which they share with Sendai 89ers and Yamagata. Iwate Big Bulls lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Kagawa FA will face league's second-placed Kanazawa Sam. in Ishikawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Iwate Big Bulls will play at home against Sendai 89ers (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
