Bottom-ranked Hidd (0-10) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to third ranked Al-Nweidrat (9-2) 97-66 on Monday evening. Al-Nweidrat forced 20 Hidd turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Al-Nweidrat looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Hidd's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Al-Nweidrat made 12 blocks. It was a great evening for Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Ebrahim Albasri helped adding 26 points and 5 assists. Four Al-Nweidrat players scored in double figures. Hussain Lulu responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Nooraldeen Mohamed scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Nweidrat moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Hidd still closes the standings with ten games lost. Al-Nweidrat will face Al-Manama (#4) in Manama in the next round. Hidd will play on the road against Samaheej (#13) in Manama and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
