Regular Season Round 9: Vicenza - Bolzano 73-60

Very expected game when 11th ranked Bolzano (3-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Vicenza (6-3) 73-60 on Wednesday. Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (190-99, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and point guard Federica Destro (172-98) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Xhovana Cela (170-97) with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian power forward Ivona Matic (189-86) scored 11 points. Four Bolzano players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Vicenza went down to sixth position (A2) due to points difference. Loser Bolzano keeps the eleventh place with six games lost. Vicenza will face higher ranked Team Crema (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bolzano will play against Scrivia (#7) and hope to win that game.
