Regular Season Round 5: Jiangsu - Heilongjiang 63-66

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Heilongjiang (2-3) edged 8th ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (2-3) in Yixing 66-63 on Wednesday. American center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds. The former international forward Jiahe Zhang (182-94) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Li Sun (185-95) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and international point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Jiangsu Phoenix. Heilongjiang moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Jiangsu Phoenix. Jiangsu Phoenix lost their third game in a row. Heilongjiang will face Whale (#8) in Sichuan in the next round.
