Regular Season Round 10: Skallagrimur - FSU 111-83

Leader Skallagrimur delivered the eighth victory. This time they crushed 8th ranked FSU (1-8) 111-83 in Borganes. Skallagrimur dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to FSU's 36. Skallagrimur forced 19 FSU turnovers and outrebounded them 38-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 37 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by FSU's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Aaron Parks (190-94, college: CS Northridge) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Eyjolfur Halldorsson (194-98) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Ari Gylfason (186-89) replied with 29 points and American forward Jett Speelman (201-94, college: Denison) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for FSU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Skallagrimur maintains first position with 8-1 record. FSU at the other side keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. Skallagrimur will play against Fjolnir (#6) in Reykjavik in the next round where they are favorite. FSU will play at home against Snaefell to get more than just one victory in their record.
