No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Oulun NMKY (4-5) edged on the road 12th ranked Jarvenpaa (1-8) 72-70 on Friday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. It was a good game for American forward Micah Dunhour (198-93, college: CS East Bay) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jack Pasquini (203-93, college: CS East Bay) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (193-81) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Leo Tarjanne (190-95) added 17 points in the effort for Jarvenpaa. Four Jarvenpaa players scored in double figures. Oulun NMKY moved-up to eighth place in Division. Loser Jarvenpaa keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Oulun NMKY will face higher ranked Lahti (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jarvenpaa will play against Jyvaskyla BA (#9) and hope to win that game.
