Regular Season Round 9: Fanola SML - Albino 76-53

Fanola SML has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Albino (2-7) 76-53. Fanola SML made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Albino turnovers. International power forward Jasmine Keys (190-97) nailed 30 points and 7 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and point guard Elena Fietta (167-95) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) came up with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Albino in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fanola SML maintains sixteenth place in A2 with 1-8 record. Albino at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Fanola SML will play against higher ranked San Salvatore (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Albino will play against Carugate (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
