Regular Season Round 10: Montecatini - San Miniato 69-47

Date: November 25, 2017
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Montecatiniterme and 8th ranked San Miniato had identical 5-4 record. This time Montecatiniterme used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from San Miniato 69-47 on Saturday night. Swingman Giorgio Artioli (200-95, agency: Players Group) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Lorenzo Galmarini (200-95) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Montecatiniterme players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Tommaso Tempestini (180-87, agency: Players Group) responded with 16 points and point guard Andrea Zita (185-91) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Montecatiniterme (6-4) moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vicenza. Loser San Miniato dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Montecatiniterme will face Cecina (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. San Miniato will play against Piombino (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
