Regular Season Round 6: Shaanxi T. - Shanghai 71-88

Bottom-ranked Shaanxi Tianze (0-6) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to top-ranked Shanghai Dahua (6-0) 88-71 on Saturday evening. Shanghai Dahua dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Shaanxi Tianze's 38. They outrebounded Shaanxi Tianze 45-28 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Breanna Stewart (193-94, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Center Zhangzhi Ting (193-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Four Shanghai Dahua players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Morgan Tucker (188-94, college: Connecticut) who recorded a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and center Jing An (184-95) added 16 points respectively. Shanghai Dahua have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Beijing. Newly promoted Shaanxi Tianze still closes the standings with six games lost. Shanghai Dahua will meet at home Shandong (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Shaanxi Tianze will play against Xinjiang (#4) in Urumqi and hopes to get finally their first victory.
