No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Kotwica (5-7) defeated on the road bottom-ranked KK Warszawa (1-10) 76-71 on Saturday. Kotwica made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Kotwica had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Szymon Ryzek (190-97) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Pawel Dzierzak (188-95) who added 11 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) with 26 points and 6 steals and power forward Dariusz Sarnacki (198-93) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. KK Warszawa's coach Andrzej Kierlewicz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kotwica moved-up to eleventh place. KK Warszawa lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Kotwica will meet at home league's leader Spojnia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KK Warszawa will play against Biofarm PZN (#8) in Poznan and hope to win that game.
