Regular Season Round 10: Granada - Real Canoe 94-60
Date: November 25, 2017
The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked CB Granada as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Albacete) loss. CB Granada smashed 11th ranked Real Canoe at home 94-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Real Canoe. The game without a history. CB Granada led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Real Canoe to just 7 points in second quarter. CB Granada dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Real Canoe's 34. Power forward Devin Wright (202-86) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) supported him with 20 points. Five CB Granada players scored in double figures. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) did not help to save the game for Real Canoe. Forward Ander Martinez (199-95, agency: Duran International) added 8 points for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Real Canoe keeps the eleventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Navarra and Plasencia. Real Canoe will play next round against Moron trying to get back on the winning streak. CB Granada will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Cambados on the road.
