Regular Season Round 10: USE Basket - Omnia Basket 83-58

There was a surprise result in Empoli where eleventh ranked USE Basket (5-5) outleveled higher ranked Omnia Basket (7-3) 83-58 on Saturday. Omnia Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 20 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Daniele Sesoldi (195-92) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four USE Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Alessandro Infanti (193-85, agency: Two Points) responded with 19 points (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Matteo Samoggia (200-90) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. USE Basket moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Omnia Basket keeps the fourth position with three games lost. USE Basket will face league's leader Omegna on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Omnia Basket will play against Valsesia and hope to win that game.
