Regular Season Round 10: TS Ostrovia - CCC Polkowice 63-68

There was no surprise in Ostrow Wlkp. where 9th ranked TS Ostrovia (3-6) was defeated by fifth ranked CCC Polkowice (6-4) 68-63. It looked good early as TS Ostrovia took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then CCC Polkowice had a 17-13 second period charge getting the lead and TS Ostrovia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-68. Israeli-American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and British-Nigerian forward Temi Fagbenle (193-92, college: USC) supported her with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds by American center Breanna Lewis (196-94, college: Kansas St.) did not help to save the game for TS Ostrovia. Karolina Puss (181-94) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. CCC Polkowice have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Basket Gdynia. TS Ostrovia at the other side keeps the ninth position with six games lost. CCC Polkowice will have a break next round. TS Ostrovia will play on the road against Basket Gdynia (#4) and hope to win that game.
