Regular Season Round 12: Tsmoki-Minsk - Gomel-Sozh 54-45

An interesting game for Tsmoki-Minsk (7-0) which hosted in Minsk one of their biggest challengers Gomel-Sozh (5-4). Top-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk managed to get a 9-point victory 54-45. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gomel-Sozh. Gomel-Sozh was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 32-22 second half run of Tsmoki-Minsk. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Gomel-Sozh's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Anastasiya Sushchyk (160-97) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Viktoryia Hasper (192-88) who added 10 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Andrey Vavleu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Yulya Haponava (185-94) with 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Anna Hatskevich (180-92) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Tsmoki-Minsk have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Olimpia. Gomel-Sozh at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Gorizont. Tsmoki-Minsk will again play against Gomel-Sozh (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gomel-Sozh will have a break next round.
