Regular Season Round 10: Snaefell - Vestri 111-94

The most important game in the last round took place in Stykkisholmur between third ranked Vestri (5-3) and fourth ranked Snaefell (6-3) on Sunday night. Vestri was defeated by Snaefell on the road 111-94. They made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. Snaefell looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. American guard Christian Covile (193-93, college: Adrian) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Forward Sveinn Davidsson (192-86) chipped in 27 points and 7 rebounds. Four Snaefell players scored in double figures. Montenegrin forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) produced a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 22 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks and Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) added 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Snaefell have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Vestri at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Hamar. Snaefell are looking forward to face FSU (#8) in Selfoss in the next round where they are favorite. Vestri will play at home against the league's second-placed Breidablik (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
