There was no surprise when 15th ranked Reggio Emilia (2-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Piacenza (9-1) 77-67 on Sunday. Piacenza made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Reggio Emilia was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Rodolfo Rombaldoni (193-77, agency: Players Group) scored 20 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Riccardo Perego (202-81) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Piacenza players scored in double figures.
