Regular Season Round 9: AIK Basket - Koping Stars 86-83

Koping Stars (9-1) recorded its first loss in Solna on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked AIK Basket (6-3) 86-83. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Koping Stars. AIK Basket made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Koping Stars turnovers. The best player for the winners was Serbian Lazar Radosavljevic (204-91, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Turkish guard Erkan Inan (195-89) chipped in 16 points. AIK Basket's coach Asa Nellfors used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Sean Smith (198-87, college: NC-Asheville) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Four AIK Basket and five Koping Stars players scored in double figures. AIK Basket maintains fourth place with 6-3 record. Koping Stars at the other side keep the second position with one game lost. AIK Basket are looking forward to face Hogsbo (#5) in Goteborg in the next round. Koping Stars will play at home against Trelleborg and are hoping to win this game.
