The game in Reykjavik was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Breidablik (7-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Gnupverjar (2-7). Breidablik managed to secure a 9-point victory 94-85. Strangely Gnupverjar outrebounded Breidablik 44-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. American guard Jeremy Smith (190, college: Nicholls St.) notched 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and guard Arni Hrafnsson (185-98) supported him with 14 points and 5 assists. Five Breidablik players scored in double figures. Even 53 points (!!!), 6 assists and 4 steals by American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) did not help to save the game for Gnupverjar. Forward Atli Gunnarsson (197-85) added 8 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Gnupverjar's coach Mate Dalmay tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Breidablik maintains second position with 7-2 record behind leader Skallagrimur. Gnupverjar lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Breidablik's next round opponent will be Vestri (#4).
