Regular Season Round 8: Amazone - Loon Lions 51-82

The game in Utrecht supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Loon Lions (4-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Amazone (2-6). Loon Lions smashed Amazone 82-51 on Sunday. Loon Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Amazone's 24. Loon Lions forced 33 Amazone turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Amazone's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Kim Hartman (172-86) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and German Roos Hof (183-94) who added 20 points during the contest. Four Loon Lions players scored in double figures. Loon Lions' coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Renee Hoveling (186-94) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Yvette Adriaans scored 13 points. Loon Lions moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Grasshoppers and Binnenland. Amazone lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Loon Lions will meet at home bottom-ranked CTO (#8) in the next round. Amazone will play against Binnenland in Rotterdam and hope to secure a win.
