Regular Season Round 7: Xinjiang - Shaanxi T. 93-101

Shaanxi Tianze can celebrate finally their first win this season after seven consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Xinjiang (5-3) on the road game in Urumqi 101-93 on Monday. Shaanxi Tianze made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for who led her team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Forward Jing Fu (180-96) helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. Five Shaanxi Tianze players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Yajing Sun (183-89) responded with 23 points and 6 assists and guard Lee Wang (170-92) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Xinjiang's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Shaanxi Tianze maintains fourteenth place with 1-7 record. Loser Xinjiang dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Guangdong and Shanxi XR. Shaanxi Tianze will meet higher ranked Zhejiang Far East (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Xinjiang will play against Shandong (#6) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
