Regular Season Round 10: Widzew - Enea AZS P. 66-72

Bottom-ranked Widzew (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 72-66 loss to twelfth ranked Enea AZS P. (2-7) in Lodz. Widzew was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 22-4 third quarter run of Enea AZS P.. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Widzew to just 4 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jazmine Davis (170-93, college: Washington, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Power forward Katarzyna Bednarczyk (184-89) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Julia Drop (175-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and American center Brandi Harvey-Carr (193-94, college: Pittsburgh) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Widzew. Four Widzew players scored in double figures. Enea AZS P. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with MKK Siedlce and JAS FBG. Widzew at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Enea AZS P. will play against higher ranked Energa Torun (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Widzew will play against AZS UMCS (#7) in Lublin and hopes to get finally their first victory.
