Everything could happen in Yinzhou at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Jiangsu Phoenix and 13th ranked Bayi Kylin had identical 2-5 record. But Bayi Kylin was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Yixing 81-73 on Wednesday night. Guard Na Jinwei (180-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 4 assists. International point guard Xiaojia Chen (177-88) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Jiangsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. The former international center Liting Zhang (199-94) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Yang Liu (178-90) added 16 points in the effort for Bayi Kylin. Jiangsu Phoenix (3-5) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shenyang and Zhejiang. Bayi Kylin lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix will face bottom-ranked Shaanxi Tianze (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Bayi Kylin will play against Whale (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
