Regular Season Round 8: Shanghai - Liaoning 82-64

An interesting game for Shanghai Dahua (7-1) which hosted in Shanghai one of their biggest challengers Liaoning Hengye (4-4). Second ranked Shanghai Dahua had an easy win 82-64. Shanghai Dahua dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Liaoning Hengye's 30. They outrebounded Liaoning Hengye 45-32 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shanghai Dahua players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Breanna Stewart (193-94, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 23 rebounds and ShiChing Peng who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. American power forward Elizabeth Williams (190-93, college: Duke) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and Jinqiu Wu scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Dahua maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader Beijing. Liaoning Hengye at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Shandong and Heilongjiang. Shanghai Dahua will play against Xing Rui (#8) in Taiyuan in the next round where they are favorite. Liaoning Hengye will play at home against Xinjiang (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
