Hidd can celebrate finally their first win this season after ten consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Manama, where they defeated Samaheej (0-11) 84-72 on Thursday. Hidd dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Samaheej's 38. They outrebounded Samaheej 54-31 including a 45-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Nooraldeen Mohamed who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 26 rebounds and Hussain Lulu who added 29 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was Mujtaba Ismaeel with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Mohammed Hameed scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Samaheej players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Hidd maintains twelfth position with 1-10 record. It was Samaheej's eleventh loss in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Hidd will meet at home higher ranked Al-Bahrain (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Samaheej's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Manama Al-Najma.
