Regular Season Round 10: HBA-Marsky - ToPo 84-67

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Helsinki: HBA-Marsky (#1) and ToPo (#3). HBA-Marsky (9-2) smashed visiting ToPo (6-3) by 17 points 84-67. ToPo was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 33-11 charge of HBA-Marsky, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 ToPo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Forward Mikael Jantunen (203-0) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Guard Miika Heinonen (191-99) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. Four HBA-Marsky players scored in double figures. HBA-Marsky's coach Antti Koskelainen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Milton Jennings (206-90, college: Clemson) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman LD Williams (193-88, college: Wake Forest) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. HBA-Marsky maintains first position in Division with 9-2 record. Loser ToPo dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. HBA-Marsky will meet Forssan Koripojat (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ToPo will play against Porvoon Tarmo (#11) and hope to secure a win.
