Very expected game when 10th ranked Helmi Basket (1-11) was smashed by fifth ranked ViVe (6-5) in Helsinki 88-60. ViVe forced 21 Helmi Basket turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Sydney Coffey (183-93, college: Marist, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Her fellow American import swingman Pachis Roberts (180-94, college: Georgia) helped adding 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Coffey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four ViVe players scored in double figures. International guard Sara Bejedi (166-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Lotta-Maj Lahtinen (176-99) scored 9 points and 8 assists. Helmi Basket's coach Pekka Salminen gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. ViVe maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Helmi Basket lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. ViVe will play against Aanekosken (#9) in Aanekoski in the next round. Helmi Basket will play at home against Kouvottaret and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
