Regular Season Round 15: Shimane SM - Hokkaido L. 82-75

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (10-9) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Shimane Magic (5-14) 82-75 on Friday. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 14 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Shimane Magic maintains fifth place with 5-14 record. Loser Hokkaido L. dropped to the second position with nine games lost. Shimane Magic will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hokkaido L. will play against Diamond Dolphins and hope to win that game.
