SKY/Basquete can celebrate finally their first win this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Botafogo F.R. (1-5) 61-47. SKY/Basquete made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international Betinho Nardi-Duarte (195-88) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Naturalized Italian point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-84) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. SKY/Basquete's coach Alberto Bial used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Atila Santos (208-83, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rafinha da-Silva (183-88) added 15 points in the effort for Botafogo F.R.SKY/Basquete (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. It was Botafogo F.R.'s fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. SKY/Basquete will play against higher ranked Paulistano (#8) in Sao Paulo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Botafogo F.R. will have a break next round.
