Regular Season Round 10: Jiangsu D. - Xinjiang FT 115-99

Not a big story in a game in Nanjing where 7th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (6-4) was defeated by fourth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (8-2) 115-99 on Friday. Jiangsu Dragons dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Xinjiang Flying Tige's 42 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Jiangsu Dragons had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman MarShon Brooks (196-89, college: Providence) had a double-double by scoring 58 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) chipped in 24 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis) responded with 37 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the former international center Changdong Yu (206-91) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Jiangsu Dragons have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Liaoning FL and Shandong GS. Defending champion Xinjiang Flying Tige keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will face bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play on the road against Monkey Kings (#13) in Jiangsu and hope to win that game.
