Regular Season Round 7: Louaize - Byblos 87-75

Everything could happen in Zouk at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Louaize and 7th ranked Byblos had identical 1-5 record. This time Louaize used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Byblos 87-75 on Friday night. They outrebounded Byblos 43-28 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Louaize looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import Marvelle Harris (193-93, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Louaize players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Ali Kanaan (207-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Louaize (2-5) moved-up to seventh place. Byblos lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with CS Antonins. Louaize will meet CS Antonins (#9) on the road in the next round. Byblos will play against the league's second-placed Al Riyadi having rather not much hope for a victory.
