Regular Season Round 10: Le Portel - Levallois 65-78

We should mention about the upset which took place in Le Portel, where higher ranked Le Portel (5-5) lost at home to fourteenth ranked Levallois (4-6) 65-78 on Friday. Levallois shot 23 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Le Portel only scored seven points from the stripe. Levallois forced 20 Le Portel turnovers. Forward Ivan Fevrier (204-99) fired 30 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. Center Neal Sako (207-98) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Mounir Bernaoui (204-97) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and Cameroonian guard Samir Gbetkom-Bikantchou (191-98) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Le Portel's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Levallois moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Le Portel dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Levallois will face Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#15) on the road in the next round.
