Very predictable result when sixth ranked Sluc Nancy (5-2) outscored on the road 17th ranked ALM Evreux (1-6) 75-53 on Friday. The game without a history. Sluc Nancy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sluc Nancy forced 19 ALM Evreux turnovers and outrebounded them 37-19 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Sluc Nancy especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. American guard Dewayne Russell (180-94, college: Grand Canyon) fired 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Gaetan Clerc (189-91) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Sluc Nancy's coach Gregor Beugnot felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) produced 15 points and 4 steals and point guard Theo Leon (180-92) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Caen. Loser ALM Evreux keeps the seventeenth position with six games lost. Sluc Nancy will face league's leader Entente Orleans 45 at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ALM Evreux will play against Aix-Maurienne (#13) and hope to win that game.
