Regular Season Round 15: Osaka Evessa - Nishinomiya S. 78-72

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Osaka Evessa (6-13) won against at home 6th ranked Nishinomiya S. (4-15) 78-72 on Friday. Nishinomiya S. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Naoya Kumagae (194-90) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Osaka Evessa's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds and the other American import guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa maintains fourth place with 6-13 record. Nishinomiya S. lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face league's leader Toyota Alvark in Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nishinomiya S. will play at home against Niigata Albirex (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
