11th ranked UU-Korihait (3-11) was outscored at home by eighth ranked Joensuun Kataja (6-6) with the biggest margin this round 104-84 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Joensuun Kataja. UU-Korihait was better in third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Joensuun Kataja dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to UU-Korihait's 44. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joensuun Kataja have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place. UU-Korihait lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Joensuun Kataja will face higher ranked Kauhajoki (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UU-Korihait will play against KTP-Basket (#9) in Kotka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
